Wade Boohar

Computational Neuroscience Researcher

Originally from Kansas City, Wade is a recent graduate of the University of Southern California, where he earned both his B.S. and M.S. in Quantitative and Computational Biology.

His undergraduate research focused on analyzing mouse hematopoiesis through spatial and multi-omic approaches. Coming from a background in regenerative medicine research, Wade is now focused on computational neuroscience. He is drawn to the immense challenge of decoding the brain's complexity, by understanding how the dynamics of cellular networks drive behavior.

Wade is primarily interested in developing computational techniques for analyzing neural data which are robust and interpretable.

In his free time, Wade is a huge foodie and loves to cook and try new recipes. He also is an avid NYT Games fanatic and plays the Crossword, Spelling Bee, and Sudoku nearly every day.
