We are a hybrid experimental-computational lab and encourage experimentalists, computationalists/theorists, engineers (software, hardware, and genomic), and everything in between to apply. We invite inquiries from folks who have open-ended research interests and are interested in joining an existing lab initiative, as well as those who have more specific projects in mind.  We welcome passionate researchers coming from academic as well industry backgrounds.

PhD students
Prospective PhD students interested in the working in the lab are encouraged to apply to the UCSF Neuroscience graduate program or the joint UCSF/ Berkeley Bioengineering graduate program. Please send a CV and email if you intend to apply or have applied to these programs.

Postdocs and Senior Scientists

We encourage postdoctoral applicants with a background in neuroscience (experimental and computational), organismal biology, molecular biology, data / computational science, software engineering, and hardware engineering. Please send a CV and email for inquiries about specific projects or interest areas.
